Abstract

The reliability of fuel filter element in KT-1B airplane with engine turboprop PT6A owned by the indonesian airforce is one of triner airplanes in military operated to train aviator candidates in adisutjipto Indonesia Airforce and in acrobatic. Fuel filter element is part of (fuel distribution system) the function is to distill fuel. Based on the information above, it is needed to repeat the analysis. Through the airplane realibility during the opertion, especialy in fuel filter element. The analysis method weibull distribution. The first step is to collect the data for the damage, then performe the calculations of data in order to know the failure, the rate of failure and the effectiveness of maintenance and suitable with the components to be analyzed. The result analysis and computation in KT-1B airplane can be seen that the rate of failure is increased with type gradual, while value of  is 1,76908029, so >1. The reliability of fuel filter is 165 hours 25 minutes and fell in line with the increase in hours or the miles, so failure is in wear-out.
