Abstract
DESIGN CONCEPTUAL AND STRUCTURE ANALYSIS OF LAUNCHER OF UAV CARGO-X Adha Luri Adham Rusman NIM: 15050065 ABSTRACT UAV Cargo-X is designed with the mission of carrying cargo with a maximum capacity of 2 kg, such as health equipment, especially for sending blood to people in need quickly, besides it can reach places that are difficult to pass with an estimated low cost. Categorized as fixed wing and requires a short runway to take-off with tool called launcher. The Thrust of Cargo-X UAV launcher uses pneumatics. For this reason, this study discusses the modelling, mechanism and analysis of launcher structures. The process begins by making the launch geometry concept and calculating the launch force requirements of the launcher followed by the modeling process using the CATIA V5 R21 software. Modeling that has been finished is imported into ANSYS 15.0 software to perform analysis of launcher structure. There are four simulations carried out in this study including: Simulation of the structure of carriage position variations, collision simulation, cylinder pressure simulation and cable pull simulation. All simulations carried out are to obtain maximum stress values and maximum deformation as a basis for knowing the margin of safety value. The modeling results of the UAV Cargo-X launcher have a rail length of 2 m, the launcher's total weight is 32,071 kg. The launching angle is 80. The power needed for launch is 290501.37 Pa (2,855 Atm) with a force 588.8 N and can produce a launch speed 15 m/s. Based on the results of all simulations on the launching structure, the maximum stress is found in the cable pull simulation value is 158.77 MPa. The maximum deformation is in the simulation value is 25% carriage position variations value is 2.7032 mm. The lowest margin of safety is obtained by cable pull simulation value is 0.354. The results of the overall simulation concluded that all Cargo-X UAV launchers are still safe for operation.
