Abstract
The refrigeration system is an important technology, especially for lecturer buildings which functions as an office as well as a place to rest. Humans who are in Inside you will feel comfortable because you will feel that the air humidity is regulated accordingly the air becomes cool. The refrigeration system will not work effectively and efficiently in a multi-storey building if the unit installed is a split AC, because it is total too many units are installed and the cooling capacity cannot be ascertained exceeds necessary requirements. In addition, maintenance after installation it will be heavier and more expensive because of the many split AC units located scattered. Therefore, a centralized unit or central AC is needed. central AC, has another problem, namely the air distribution system that has been conditioned or usually called ductwork, because it is certain that there are losses in the ductwork air friction so it is necessary to design the size of the ductwork so that air can pass through distributed properly according to what is needed. The aim of this study Finally, determine the size of the ductwork in the form of a sketch using the method equal friction loss because the method is more effective than the method other. From the analysis that has been carried out by testing, the total value can be obtained The cooling load on one floor is 15.5 PK, or the same as 139,500 Btu/hr. The total value of airflow requirements needed to be distributed to one floor by ductwork is 2600 cfm. And, draw a sketch of the size calculation results attached ductwork.
