Abstract

Aircraft is a means of transporting passengers or goods resulting from engineering. Continuous operation of the aircraft requires a maintenance process. Aircraft maintenance is important for the safety and comfort of flight crews and passengers on commercial aircraft such as the Boeing 737-900 ER. The safety factor is indispensable to ensure the safety of passengers. The entire aircraft work system has a very important and interrelated function. In carrying out maintenance of damage to the system or aircraft structure can be done using the fault tree analysis method so that it is possible to find out some of the causes of damage that cause damage to a component on the aircraft. In the example of handling the case of the recirculation fan does not operate or the recirculation fan in the distribution system is not working properly. Failure analysis using fault tree analysis obtained twelve based events that have the potential to cause failure in the conditioned air distribution system. Some of the causes of failure are corrosion, erosion, cracks, and other damage to the component structure or to the wiring system.
