Abstract

Drone targets are a type of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) that are used as shooting targets during military training and trials. Target drones are used for a variety of purposes, namely developing and testing new weapons systems, training military crews on threat identification and engagement, evaluating the performance and accuracy of existing systems. This research is a continuation stage of previous research, namely initial design, so this research will carry out modeling of the internal wing structure design and analysis of the strength of the structure. In the wing structure design process using CATIA VR21 and WingHelper software and for wing structure analysis using ANSYS R21 software. To obtain the strength value of the wing structure in accordance with the failure criteria and margin of safety. The loading was carried out under maneuver load factor conditions of 3.8 and negative load factor limit load -1.5. The results obtained in this research show that the A23 blitzer drone target has a wing configuration with skin components (0.50 mm), 5 Ribs (3 mm), front joiner and rear joiner, and stringers. The maximum stress value is located on the x axis with tensile and compressive stresses of 201,41 Mpa and 147,82 Mpa respectively and total deformation of 4,190 mm with failure criteria and margin of safety values of 0.457 and 1,24 respectively under load factor conditions of 3.8. So, the wing structure is declared safe according to the Tsai-Hill criteria and margin of safety calculations.
