Abstract
In todays aircraft industry, flight control systems and landing gear systems are not free from the role of hydraulic technology systems. As the starting driver of the hydraulic pump or hydraulics system of the actuator then used Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor PMSM. The study aims to compare the response results between the LQG controller and the observer, by looking for the parameter values for the lQG controllers and observers in the hydraulic pump system. The research method will be tested using matlab software in three conditions, namely, when the motor is loadless, loaded, and inverted direction. From the results of the research it can be seen that the PMSM applied in the hydraulic system with the LQG controller is more optimum compared to the observer controller. The improvement shown in the settling time value at a load-free time was 112.5% against the observer controller and 223.52% without the controller. At load time, the rotation speed of the rotor produced at steady state with the LQG controller is 8.29% faster than the observer controller and 74.49% if it is not controlled. The rotation speed of this rotor affects the time it takes the actuator to perform extension and retraction.
