Abstract
Uninterruptible Power Supply UPS plays a crucial role in maintaining the operational continuity of the Airfield Lighting System on the runway. The Airfield Lighting System is a critical system for flight safety. This research aims to analyze the performance of the UPS used in the runway lighting system at Adisutjipto International Airport. The UPS at Adisutjipto International Airport has a power capacity of 140 kVA. This study employs a field survey method, collects operational UPS data, and performs performance analysis based on historical data. The latest monitoring and measurement data are used to evaluate the total load power, battery capacity, and UPS runtime in supplying the Airfield Lighting System. The research results indicate that the UPS load at Adisutjipto International Airport in Yogyakarta is utilized at 14.09% 19.734 kVA out of 140 kVA. Based on this calculation, it suggests that additional load or more servers can still be added. According to the calculation of the ideal Uninterruptible Power Supply rating, the UPS at Adisutjipto International Airport in Yogyakarta has a larger capacity than the ideal UPS rating oversizing UPS. This is done to achieve a longer runtime and to anticipate any additional servers. Based on the current installed power value with the load used in the Airfield Lighting System, this UPS is capable of providing a runtime of 6 hours and 50 minutes when there is a disruption in the power supply from the PLN.
