Abstract
Windshield is a component of an aircraft that functions as access for pilots to see the situation in front of the aircraft while flying, Windshield is located in the flight deck compartment or commonly called the cockpit. There are 6 windshields on the Boeing 737-800 NG which are controlled by a system called the flightdeck window anti-ice system, each windshield is equipped with the same protection system against the formation of icing caused by the air temperature at a certain altitude. The method used in this study is Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) to find the root cause of the possible failure of the flightdeck window anti-ice system on the Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft. The results of the troubleshooting process on the Window Heat Control Unit components are replaced. The next treatment for these components is to conduct a Ground Test on the Maintenance Access Terminal to see if there is still damage to the flightdeck window anti-ice system. From the results of the Ground Test, there is no message indicating damage to the flightdeck window anti-ice system, so it can be ascertained that the troubleshooting process was successful and the components were working normally.
