Abstract
Crime in the current era is not impossible, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic which makes employment increase. Unemployment is increasing, causing crime to also increase. Security for a room is very important to avoid the rise in crime rates. In this study, the authors designed a security system that is expected for users to create security in a room. This security system uses a Raspberry Pi 4 to be used as the main device in the process of sending data and using the WhatsApp application as a data recipient in the form of a notification message "ADA PENYUSUP". In detecting an object at human temperature using a PIR sensor. This system requires an internet connection which is used to assist the performance of the Raspberry Pi 4 in sending data to WhatsApp. The results obtained from this test are that the sending of notification delay messages has an average reading time of 1.499 seconds. The output voltage generated by the PIR sensor when it detects an object in front of the sensor is 3.37 volts. The PIR sensor can detect an object's movement with a maximum distance of 7 meters and with a sensitivity angle the PIR sensor can work when the object's position is at an angle of 40 to 140.
