Abstract

Providing discounts or cost reductions is one of the promotional efforts, to increase the interest of prospective students by cutting educational costs, within a set period of time. The existence of a Decision Support System SPK can be assisted to determine discounted fees for prospective students, based on existing categories. Determining the granting of cost reductions requires a variety of criteria that are considered to influence the decision-making process. In the case of determining a fee discount for prospective new students, it is necessary to know the criteria used to register at ITD Adisutjipto. To build an SPK application, one of the methods that can be used is the Simple Multi-Attribute Rating Technique Exploiting Ranks SMARTER method. Testing the calculations carried out by comparing manual calculations with calculations on the system using the SMARTER method shows that the calculation results obtained are the same. Testing the results of discounted tuition fees on a number of 30 students who have been tested by comparison between the results of the discount given by ITD Adisutjipto and the system using the SMARTER method shows that the percentage of similarities is 26.7% and the percentage of similarities with different deductions is 60%.
