Abstract

Etherchannel is one of the network technologies found in Cisco switches, etherchannel is used with the aim of improving communication performance between switches. Etherchannel can improve the quality of network performance by connecting a switch to another switch using two to eight UTP cables. The Cisco Catalyst 3750 switch is one of the Cisco switches that supports etherchannel. The problems found were in the configuration and monitoring of etherchannel on the Cisco Catalyst 3750 switch which is command line based and cannot be accessed remotely, for that reason, etherchannel configuration and monitoring based on Graphics User Interface (GUI) was made. Etherchannel configuration and monitoring is made web-based with the aim of making it easier for users to access it and can be used on various devices. The use of the Cisco API is for the purpose of connecting the web programming language with the software on the Cisco Catalyst 3750 switch. Etherchannel configuration and monitoring can be done remotely because it utilizes telnet which functions to provide wider access to the Cisco Catalyst 3750 switch so that the switch can be accessed remotely without using a console cable. The results of the tests carried out by etherchannel configuration and monitoring can be done using a web-based etherchannel and can be accessed remotely using various devices and browsers.
