Abstract

Advances in technology to day are growing very rapidly and is evidenced by the mani innovations that have been created. Technology is made to make it easier for users to carry out activities. One technology that can provide convenience for users is technology with Voice Recognition features. Voice Recognition detects the spoken word then instructs the hardware to work. For this reason, the author conducts research and manufactures a DC Motor Speed Control tool using voice commands based on the Arduino Microcontroller which is expected to help provide convenience for users. In the research and manufacture of this tool to control the speed of the DC Motor using a Voice Recognition sensor as a voice catcher, then sent to Arduino as a programming tool that functions to process all systems so that everything can work properly according to the program that has been made, and set the Duty Cycle via Pulse Width Modulation (PWM). After the sensor data detection results are obtained, then Arduino commands the DC Motor as a driver and displays the data on a 16x2 Liquid Crystal Display (LCD). The results of the sound test were carried out using two conditions, namely ideal environmental conditions and non-ideal environmental conditions. The results of DC Motor Revolution Per Minute (RPM) test were carried out using the theoretical formula and the Tachometer tool to get the percentage of error ratios ranging from 0-9%. It can be seen that the effect of voltage on the rotational speed of a DC Motor is directly proportional, that is, if the voltage on a DC Motor is greater, the rotational speed of the DC Motor will increase, and the use of a good battery or power will determine a stable speed. The results obtained indicate that the equipment made is able to work well.
