Abstract

The house is an important means for humans because the house can provide a sense of security to all residents from various criminal acts and can also be used as a place to store valuables. Crimes, especially burglary and theft, are increasingly rampant along with the increasing expertise of the thieves in carrying out their actions. The lack of security level and the high cost of extra security make the level of burglary and theft awareness of valuables higher. Smart door lock simulation has been made using a security code based on a microcontroller system. Servo motor is used as a drive to open and close the door. The simulation that has been made consists of several components, namely: Keypad 4×3, Arduino Uno 328P, Servo Motor PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) and LCD (Liquid Crystal Display). Arduino 328P as the main controller in this simulation to process data from the keypad then the results are displayed on the LCD and then the servo motor moves automatically. The results of the smart door lock simulation test using a microcontroller based security code show that the PWM signal for the condition of the door is open and the door is locked. The DC servo motor works according to the expected results and is proven by the results of the PWM servo motor control pulse where pulse width ton time when the door is open is 0.5ms and pulse width ton time when the door is locked is 2ms.
