Abstract
Cessna C208-B aircraft is one of the most widely used transportasion in Indonesia, this aircraft is often used as link o small islands or areas with inadequate terrain and ruways. Therefore, maintenance is needed to ensure the performance of each aircraft component can operate properly. Therefore, this reaserach aims to build a system that can help detect demage to the Cessna C208-B aircraft engine with a Case Based Reasoning CBR approach. This research was conducted by performing pre-processing stages to procces words and cosine similarity lgorithm in determining the closeness of similarity. From the test carried out on 40 data base cases the system can ptovide result that the Case Based Reasoning CBR method can be applied to the demage detection system on the Cessna C208-B aircraft engine using the vector space model VSM algorithm and cosine similarity with 100% accuracy result.
