Abstract
Main landing gear trainers are one of the tools that are made to resemble the shape of the original main landing gear with different sizes and dimensions. This main landing gear trainer serves as learning material for students and students to find out the mechanism of retract and extension of the main landing gear on airplanes. This study discusses the design of main landing gear trainers using CATIA V5 software. In the design of this main landing gear tool get a shock strut size of 50 cm, tire diameter 16 cm, fork 10.2 cm, upper drag brace 35 cm, lower drag brace 35 cm, actuator 10 cm and a block-shaped frame with a length of 150 cm, width of 60 cm and height of 80 cm.
