Abstract

Workload is the amount of work that must be carried by a position/organizational unit and is the multiplication result of work volume and time norm. Workloads imposed on employees can be categorized into three conditions, namely the workloads that meet the standards, the workloads that are too high (over capacity) and the workloads that are too low (under capacity). The data collection was carried out by observing and interviewing 7 (seven) AMC (Apron Movement Control) operators to obtain the desired data. The data was for each Operator including the jobdesc data for each Operator, the duration for each jobdesk, the Allowance, the pulse data at work and the pulse data at rest for processing using the Full Time Equivalent (FTE) and Cardiovascular Load (CVL) methods. The results of calculations using FTE showed that there were 6 operators experiencing normal workloads that exceed the FTE value of 1 and 1 operator experiencing underload work which had a value of 1. The suggestion for improvement is the addition of AMC Operators due to the lack of over facilities for the burden of the target jobdesc that must be achieved while the movement of aircraft on the Airside is always increasing. The results of calculations using CVL showed that all AMC Operators get a CVL value of less than 30%, which means that there is no operator fatigue in the classification and a comparative analysis is carried out by comparing positions, ages and work experience, classified as fatigue did not occur. There are no suggestions for improvement since the operators did not experience fatigue and were supported by Airside transportation facilities.
