Abstract

Activities in the PT XYZ cargo terminal environment present various safety and health risks for employees involved in the process. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the application of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) techniques as an effort to identify potential hazards and reduce the risk of injury to PT XYZ cargo terminal employees, especially in the porter section. This research uses the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) methods. where the JSA process involves identifying work steps, assessing hazards, and designing preventive measures to reduce the risk of physical injury. While REBA is done to evaluate work positions that require ergonomic adjustments. In collecting data, researchers used the observation method to observe employee work activities while handling cargo in the terminal area. The data collected included work support tools, work schedules, work processes, postures, and injury incidents that occurred during the study period. Data was also collected using the interview method, which collected in the form of respondent profiles and the application of JSA at the PT XYZ cargo terminal, especially in the porter section. In addition, the documentation method was also used by researchers in this study. Based on the results of the study, it was found that of the 32 employees 90.6% were male and the rest were female, which was dominated by employees aged 21-25 years with the most education level of SMA / SMK with a work period of <1 year. The results of the JSA analysis show that work at the cargo terminal has a high potential for hazards such as back, shoulder, arm, leg and muscle injuries due to heavy or unergonomic lifting. Meanwhile, REBA analysis identified several postures that require ergonomic adjustments. From the REBA calculation, it can be seen that the highest risk is received by Ilham Jayadi and Ni Luh Putu Sriyanti with a calculation result of 10, so it needs to be examined and changed immediately. However, based on Ergo @WSH, those with the highest risk are Km Trisna Wardana, Ni Luh Putu Sriyanti and Putra Wirawan, this is due to a mismatch in posture when lifting cargo and the cargo is too heavy.
