Abstract

Legondo Bu Suad is the name of a Small Medium Enterprises (SME) located in Kapling Jayan, RT. 03 RW. 01 Borobudur, Magelang, Central Java which is a pioneer of legondo in Magelang and was established in 2018. which produces food with processed bananas and glutinous rice, and wrapped using banana leaves. during the Legondo manufacturing process there is a process of cutting banana leaves, cutting is done only using scissors so that it makes workers in the cutting process experience complaints about cutting time and leaf capacity when cutting. Producing 200 Legondo requires time to cut banana leaves, which is approximately 40 minutes. So that when conducting observations and interviews on the SME Legondo Bu Suad, SME need a tool to cut banana leaves. Value Engineering is a methodology used to find the best solution in designing banana leaf cutting tools. supported by additional methods, namely Quality Function Deployment and Ergonomics. Making banana leaf cutting tools based on 9 user needs (Customer Needs) and refers to 9 body dimensions for palm anthropometry. The concept of the banana leaf cutter has dimensions of 300 mm long x 200 mm wide x 360 mm high with a total price of Rp. 467,000.
