Abstract

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) is a company thatproviding train transportation services, as well as paying attention to comfort andsafety for passengers. This is related to ConditionBased Maintenance (CBM), Maintenance based on conditions isAppropriate precautions are taken for the conditions occurring wheretime variables can be ascertained precisely. Based on interviews withThe KAI facility maintenance team once experienced battery temperatures reaching 74 C which resulted in the locomotive's battery breaking because it couldn'twithstands heat. So here there is a proposal to design a prototypetemperature sensor in the locomotive battery room with the aim of being able tomakes it easier for the locomotive maintenance team to detect temperature CC201 locomotive battery room. The prototype design is calculatedstarting from the information stage, speculation stage or creative phase, analysis stage,development evaluation stage and recommendation stage. Results of the five stagesThis is so that you can create a selected 3D design that suits your needsthe needs of the locomotive facilities team and there is an Internet of Things (IoT) system.The results of research using the value engineering method were obtained CC201 locomotive battery room temperature sensor prototype design withThe ambient temperature sensor uses the DS18B20 type, using a 9v batteryrecharger, there is a time and date on the data storage system,Use the on off switch to turn on the prototype.
