Abstract
In the world of aviation, weather conditions are one of the main factors for flight safety, including during takeoff, flight and landing. Pilots need long visibility when flying this can be achieved if the weather conditions at that time are sunny. To find out if the weather is sunny or not, you can see it from the sky or clouds at that time. One way to make it easier for pilots to determine weather conditions is a weather detection system using cloud imagery. The weather detection system uses the phone's internal camera as an image capture tool and the website as a data processing system and media for weather detection results. The website utilizes the PHP program as its programming language which is regulated to be able to process image data using the histogram method. The PHP program is also used to convert RGB images into grayscale and to determine the pixel value of each image test data which is then displayed in the form of a histogram graphical result. The results showed that the detection system could perform weather detection with the results of image test data as many as 57 images, 45 data with successful status and 12 data with failed status. The experiment failed because the number of pixel brightness values between the training data and the test data did not match the weather being tested. Based on this test, it was obtained that the proportion of system success was 78.95%.
