Abstract

Electrical energy currently plays an important role in development technology, so that the need for electrical energy increases. However, sources to produce electrical energy is limited, so it is needed efficiency in the use of electrical energy. One of the toolsuses electrical energy and the important current is the lamp. Bybecause of that the author tries to maximize the use of power on LED lightsby applying PWM. The principle of PWM works by manipulatingsignal or pulse width in one period, which the period repeats betweenhigh and low whose ratio can be controlled. The use of PWM in power control is more efficient than conventional power control. In this research, testing and experiments were carried out on 5 watt and 10 watt LED lights with a frequency of 25, 50.75, and 100 Hz and with a duty cycle of 0, 25, 50, 75, and 100% so that data could be obtained in the form of the condition of the lights (off, blinking). , and on) and the lux or light intensity values obtained on each LED are measured using a Luxmeter. Comparison of light intensity on 5Watt and 10Watt LEDs, namely the Lux value of a 10watt LED lamp in each experiment has a higher value than the lux value of a 5Watt LED lamp. 5 watt and 10 watt LED lights with 0% duty cycle, even though at what frequency the lights are off. Meanwhile, if the LED lights are 5 watts and 10 watts with a frequency of 25 Hz with a duty cycle of 25.50 and 75 then the lights are in a blinking state. On LED lights 5 watts and 10 watts with frequencies above 50 Hz with a duty cycle of 25,50,75 and 100, the lights are on.
