Abstract

Residents on the island of Java can reach the island of Sumatra through various transportation routes, both by land, sea and air transportation. And vice versa. But it will be more efficient if you use air transportation. The ever-increasing need for movement in Java and Sumatra will have a direct impact on transportation planning. To optimize passenger movements in Java and Sumatra, it is necessary to analyze the movement in the future. The data used is secondary data, namely data on the movement of origin and destination of domestic passengers. Secondary data are analyzed by the least squares trend method to obtain future rise and pull. The results of generation and attraction are processed into movement distribution with the Furness model and the Detroit model and matrix conformity calculations using Root Mean Square Error (RMSE). To facilitate calculations, researchers use Microsoft Excel software. The results of the calculation of the rise and pull in 2025 obtained a number of passengers as many as 1494769. The distribution of movement from the Furness model on the JOG-KNO route, and BTH-KNO experienced an increase in the number of passengers. In the Detroit model on the JOG-BTH route, BTH-JOG experienced an increase in passenger numbers. The Furness model matrix conformity test was smaller than that of the Detroit model at 1824.55 with an RMSE %of 1.1072.
