Abstract

Based on the pitot static removal data of Batam Aero Technic's Boeing 737- 800 on the static and total air pressure system, 12 removal events were found for this component. One of the defects that occur is pitot light on. This indicates that there is a problem with that component. If there is a problem with this component, it can interfere with the pilot's work and even delay the operation of the aircraft causing a delay. Therefore, every failure that occurs needs to be analyzed in order to minimize the repetition of failures and even prevent losses in the future. Failure analysis uses the Failure Mode and Ef ect Analysis method to identify failure modes, causes and ef ects of failure, ranking severity, occurrence and detection so that a risk priority number is obtained which indicates the criticality level of a failure mode. Then do the Weibull Distribution calculations to find out the type and time of failure on static pitot components. Based on the FMEA Worksheet, there are 8 failure modes that occur in pitot static with the highest Risk Priority Number being 126 in the IAS AND ALT DISAGREE failure mode. Based on the calculation of the Weibull Distribution, the value of B = 10.9347 is obtained which indicates a wear out failure in accordance with the provisions of the parameter B> 1 meaning that the component being analyzed has failed because it has exceeded the service life limit of the component. Based on the Mean Time to Failure value, the results are 18599 hours where the average pitot static will function until it fails up to 18599 hours.
