Abstract

The wing is the main structure of the aircraft that creates lift. The wing of the UAV VTOL V-SKY 14 has a wing rib structure. The wing rib is one of the main structures of the wing which has the effect of supporting or maintaining the shape of the wing. To meet the strength and stiffness criteria it must be able to support loads that occur on the wing, one of which is the bending load. Bending test is a process of testing a material by pressing it to get results in the form of bending load data and bending strength of the material being tested. In the process of testing bending tests on specimens using the Additive Manufacturing method, the resulting values will differ depending on the material and design used. In this case the authors used two variations of the material, namely PLA filament and ABS filament. The results of bending strength and bending strain calculations, test specimens and processed using excel software, obtained bending stress values on PLA specimens with a value of 119.776 MPa. The bending strain value is 0.060 and in the ABS specimen it is 128.430 MPa. Bending strain value 0.071. Then the results of the bending test values for wing ribs with PLA and ABS filaments in the Additive Manufacturing method, it can be concluded that specimens using ABS filaments have a greater value than specimens with PLA filaments, because specimens using ABS filaments have higher impact resistance. better than PLA filament.
