Abstract

Aircraft maintenance is carried out to maintain the reliability of each aircraft component and maintain the condition of the aircraft so that it remains airworthy. Based on the problems that are often reported in pilot reports and maintenance reports, there are spoiler problems, such as damage to the flight spoiler actuator component, which will affect the movement of the flight spoiler. This flight spoiler actuator is used to reduce speed while flying and help with ground spoiler braking when on the ground. Analysis to determine the reliability value, MTTF mean time to failure value, and maintenance recommendations for the flight spoiler actuator for Boeing 737-900 ER aircraft can use the Reliability Centered Maintenance RCM method. This analysis phase begins with determining the parameter values in the Weibull distribution and the lognormal distribution, then determining the value of the correlation coefficient r that is closest to one. where r weibull = 0.91094 and r lognormal = 0,846795. So the Weibull distribution was chosen to be recommended in the analysis of the reliability value and the mean time to failure value. Based on the results of the data processing that has been carried out, the reliability value of the Weibull distribution at a time failure of 22000 flight hours is 0.49611, so that it continues to decrease as the use of the flight spoiler actuator component for the Boeing 737-900 ER aircraft increases. For the MTTF value, the result is 22527.31 flight hours, indicating that the average flight spoiler actuator component of the Boeing 737-900 ER aircraft will function properly until it fails when it reaches 22527.31 flight hours. From the results of the parameter value of 2.47939, if the value is in accordance with the Weibull theoretical basis, then the type of failure that occurs is wear-out failures, while the recommended type of maintenance for this failure is preventive maintenance in the time-directed TD category because it can prevent or slow down the occurrence of periodic damage until the component cannot be repaired again, as stated at the beginning.
